We have covered the top 5 surgical. Now for the non surgical.
- Botox
- Soft tissue fillers (Hyaluronic fillers like juvederm and restylane lead, followed by radiesse, Sculptra, and fat)
- Chemical peels
- Laser hair removal
- Microdermabrasion
Again, what is interesting here is looking at the numbers and trends. Botox is the name of the game, with over 6 million treatments a year, and a skyrocketing presence since 2000. The use of botox has increased by 700% since then, and it is by far the most common nonsurgical treatment. Second is the soft tissue fillers. I use both Botox and Fillers extensively in my practice, and they are a great nonsurgical way to hold off aging, particularly for my 30-50 year old patients. The soft tissue filler use has increased 243% since 2000. There has been a slight increase in laser hair removal, and constant chemical peel and microdermabrasion since 2000.
The only change in the top 5 since 2000 was sclerotherapy fell out of the top 5, and soft tissue fillers moved into the top 5.
