Ariel Winters is a Hollywood star who had a breast reduction this past year, reportedly going from a 34F to a 34D. There was a lot of hub bub recently about her “showing off” her breast reduction scars while on the red carpet.
GOOD FOR HER. Breast reductions have incredible patient satisfaction. If you haven’t had large droopy breasts before, you can’t understand the weight and strain they put on you. I am glad she is so happy and confidant after her reduction, and that she is not hiding her scars. She is a beautiful girl.
FOR MY PATIENTS, all breast reduction techniques are not the same, and please know YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE SAME SCARRING as she did. Scars can also change over time. If you have the lollipop short scar breast reduction (not the inferior pedicle Wise pattern reduction still done by many plastic surgeons), there is minimal to no scar along your underwire line, and for sure not out to the side. When having the vertical breast lift which I do, there is NO scar laterally.
So to my patients, you don’t need to worry about showing off scars when you wear a backless dress.
