After evaluating the field, we have chosen a new non-surgical microneedling device and exosome treatment to improve the skin texture, pores, fine lines, pigment, and scarring. Microneedling rejuvenates the skin by creating micro channels in the skin’s matrix.
What pen did we choose?
- We chose the DP4 Pen, which is FDA approved. Why did we choose it? It has 16 needles in each cartridge (where others have 12-14). We want the pen to create microchannels without a lot of injury to the surrounding tissue. The RFID in the needle cartridge allows for precise, reliable and drag free needle penetration. It has patented “advanced oscillating vertical needle” to have less collateral damage, so the skin focuses on healing itself.
-
- It has Bluetooth with a digital interface for more precise depth levels.
- There is an auto calibration of speed and depth.
- The needles puncture the skin in an up and down motion for increased speed, precision, and safety.
- It is the only device on the market with a scar treatment setting. This is great for acne scars and surgical scars.
-
- We purposefully did NOT choose a pen that has radiofrequency. Some of the radiofrequency pens brag how they remove the subcutaneous facial fat. I spend so much of my time trying to get volume INTO the face. I didn’t want a treatment which would remove facial volume.
- We are pairing it with a concoction of hyaluronic acid, exosomes, and moisturizer. Why? We looked at PRP and other skin treatments. We are excited about exosome technology. Please read my further blogs about which exosome we chose and why. (Exosomes are a broad range of agents- some plant based, some animal based. Some are meant to be topical, some in body.) We chose an exosome which is mesenchymal based, made in a super high quality FDA approved method, and has a scientific study showing it improved skin texture, quality, firmness, and appearance.
So tune in.
We are trying to bring thoughtful, science based evidence to this procedure. See our blogs on microneedling HERE.
