“I have so appreciated her professionalism, compassion and commitment”

As promised, an update now that I’ve had a procedure. Dr. Greenberg has helped me with some very serious keloid scars and we are in the process of revising them by redoing the incisions. She’s been super meticulous in doing a test section first and observing it for months, and soon we’ll do more because the small section she revised has healed much better than the scars from the original operation done by another doctor.  Beyond that, I have so appreciated her professionalism, compassion and commitment to fixing scars left by another doctor’s surgery. The surgeon I saw before Dr. Greenberg was dismissive and minimized my very reasonable discontent with the results of the surgery he did, and to have Dr. Greenberg validate my feelings about how my scars look and show genuine care in doing what she can to improve them has meant a lot. Numerous times she’s said, “You’re too young to settle for this result. Let’s see what we can do to make this better.” And that’s been such a relief after two years trying to talk myself into accepting wide, raised and long scars.
