I am incredibly thankful to you for my mid life body makeover! Before seeing you, I had not been feeling like myself and with the onset of menopause gained weight in undesirable areas that would not budge no matter how much I exercised or dieted. During my consult you explained what was and was not possible with surgery. Your honest was refreshing. Dr. Lauren Greenberg is an extremely ethical and professional doctor. She gave me 100% of my money back because she felt I would not be happy with her results. I just had my facelift and laser work done by Dr Mittleman who did a fantastic job — thanks to Fr. Lauren Greenberg’s recommendation. My skin is very thin and wrinkled. Dr Greenberg could have taken my money and did the work but instead she acknowledged her limitations and recommended other doctors. I am a physician myself, so I’m pretty picky when it comes to finding a surgeon. I can without reservation recommend Dr Lauren Greenberg as an ultimate professional. There are a number of reasons I recommend her. First, she is in solo-practice. This is more important than you might think. While it does mean that you won’t have a full team of receptionists and nurses in a big fancy office, it means that you won’t have to deal with a big team of receptionists and nurses when you really want the doctor herself! When you have a consultation, it will be with the surgeon who will actually do your surgery. When you are recovering, you will have instant access to YOUR doctor for questions and concerns. You will not have a partner or less senior surgeon (or physician assistant) for any part of your experience. Second, she listens to what you want. I don’t mean that she just hears you talking. I mean she tries to understand what it is that that brought you in to a plastic surgeon’s office in the first place – what is it that YOU want done. She is not interested in pushing her aesthetic on you – she’s interested in helping you achieve your own goals. (My impression is that she’d talk you out of a big procedure if that was the right thing to do based on your own goals.) Third, she is up-to-date on all the latest techniques and procedures – from injections, fillers and fat-transfer procedures for cosmetic effects to microfilm PCR for difficult healing. During my intake, she spoke about many of the very latest research results and the recent meetings she’d attended. Fourth, she is kind and warm. She makes me feel instantly safe and comfortable. That’s exactly what you need when making this kind of a decision.

I don’t rely much on Yelp for choosing serious stuff like doctors, but am fortunate my family has been in the Bay Area medical community forever — and within this tightknit community of doctors it’s VERY well known who’s good and who to avoid. I did a ton of my own research before choosing a plastic surgeon, and narrowed my final choice to Dr. Greenberg. When my family’s network said they’d trust their own procedures to Dr. Greenberg (and a few of them already had), I felt pretty confident choosing Dr. Greenberg for a hernia-related procedure. I’m so glad I did – for multiple reasons. Not only did she do a wonderful job, but she immediately diagnosed THREE ventral hernias that doctors before her had missed. Comparing Dr. Greenberg’s approach to a very well-known Palo Alto surgeon I met earlier (who rushed me through the evaluation and then passed me over to his secretary to answer my followup questions – no joke), it becomes clear all surgeons and their practices are not the same. And how easy it is to choose the wrong one. Thankfully I did my homework and had my procedure with Dr. Greenberg. I’ve mentioned her name over the past two years to friends and various other doctors I’ve visited (even my orthopedic surgeon!), and I always get the same response: “Oh yes, I’ve heard of her and she’s very good.” Her reputation is well deserved.
